the Southwest. This is mainly because of the huge success of his first single “Til the sunrise”. Mav linked up with Arizona’s own “21 the producer”(crooked i, willy northpole,Chingo bling n more) and laid the ground work for “Til the Sunrise”. Today we are giving Producer and Mcees an opportunity to create their remixes of “Til the sunrise”. The winners will get 50$ and an interview that will be posted on 9 hip hop sites

Rules
All entries will have to be in by September 10th, 2010 to be considered in this remix competition. On September 15th we will post all the entries on phoenixhiphop.net and give everyone
a chance to hear the competition. On September 30th Mav of sol camp will award the winner that he chooses personally and post it on Phoenixhiphop.net .

We hooked up with rich in success independent southern artist Maceo for an exclusive interview. After his hit single “Go Sit Down” sold over 50,000 records independently, Maceo covered Fader Magazine, and ultimately reached numerous other career goals he had set out for himself. We heavily touch on the entire experience behind “Go Sit Down”, breaking down the song itself and also the multiple experiences that followed its release.
We also get the status update on Maceo in 2010, what he’s currently working on, including his “Welcome to New Mexico” mixtape which just dropped on July 4th for free download, as well as his “Flexin” single. Details on access to the mixtape are included in the interview.
Formerly signed to Big Cat Records, Maceo talks to us about previously being signed to the same label as Gucci Mane, his relationship with T.I. that lead to a performance with the self proclaimed “king of the south”, as well as why he now prefers to do things independently with his 94 Entertainment imprint.
